21,000-acre Ghost Ranch Retreat Center offers tours, hikes, art workshops and camping on the beautiful ranch where Georgia O’Keeffe once lived and worked. A dining hall, 2 museums, trading post, spa treatments and outdoor swimming pool are also available onsite. Located in a ghost town just outside of Rhyolite, Nevada off the road leading to Death Valley, this sculpture park is free and open to the public 24/7 (visitor center open Monday-Saturday with seasonal hours). Artists may reserve the 2,500-square-foot Red Barn Art Center for use as a large, private studio for up to six weeks at a time.  The Red Barn Art Center is a rustic facility with 2 roll-up steel doors, a 40′ wide gallery wall, restroom, and an RV pad with electrical hookup. Water is trucked to the site. Rental fee is $300 per week. (Other RV camping options are available in nearby Beatty.)

This 20-acre property is located in small, rural Fredericktown, Ohio. Selected artists are given large individual studios in a historic furniture factory. Residency Sessions run May-September. Open Wabi hosts an open house on the last Friday of each session so residents can share and celebrate the work they completed during their stay. Camping Fees are $650 for a 2-week stay. Artists provide their own food and art supplies. Nearby Mohican State Park offers hiking and canoeing. Open Wabi is also located along a public bike trail.

This 40-acre oceanfront Maine campground accommodates all RV’s and offers a private beach. Studio with loft living quarters or optional RV campsite is provided. Artist is asked to provide 4 blog posts prior to arrival. During the 1-week stay, the resident artist will provide daily 2-hour creative sessions with campers (Monday-Saturday) designed for a wide range of age and abilities. These sessions may be located at the studio, beach, gardens or nature trails as weather permits. This scenic campground offers water activities, special events and lobster bakes on the beach.

Near the beach and Discovery Trail in Washington State, this resort offers an eclectic assortment of services on the Pacific Northwest Coast. Their Artist Residency Program offers reduced weekly rates for people wishing to devote themselves to their creative pursuits for a supportive and distraction-free week. The program suits all kinds of artists from writers, musicians, visual artists, craftsmen, cooks, engineers and more. It is available year-round and generally runs Sunday – Friday. (Reduced weekly rates are $250-$350/week, depending on the season and your accommodation. RV hook-ups are 30 amp.
